Outcomes for Families

The overarching outcome to bring to life the Moemoea is:

Families are strong and richly connected with their communities. They are able to support their members’ wellbeing, identity, participation in society and interdependence.

There are other contributing outcomes covering areas such as material wellbeing and families being free from violence.

Families Strategic Framework and Priorities

The Families Strategic Framework and Priorities sets out a programme of action. Its four central objectives are to:

  • Stimulate awareness, dialogue, thinking and action on issues central to effective family functioning
  • Invest in family strengths and community capacity
  • Identify and support families with needs which make them vulnerable.
  • Strengthen the service environment to deliver more effective responses to family needs.
